In case your Plustek OpticFilm 8100, OpticFilm 8200i or OpticFilm 8300i is no longer recognised by SilverFast 9 after the SilverFast 9.2.10 Update has been installed, the updated device drivers rolled out by this SilverFast update are not compatible with your version of macOS.

We confirm the issue to be present on macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) systems.
The best solution for it is, to work on an up-to-date macOS system – or at least using macOS 10.15 (Catalina).

If you really need to stay on macOS 10.13 (High Sierra), please download the archive linked below, extract it and copy the included folder:

'Plustek'

to

'/Library/Application Support/LaserSoft Imaging/SilverFast 9/Drivers'

… and have the files replaced in case there is a dialogue window asking for, what to do with existing files in this location. Afterwards, SilverFast 9.2.10 will be able to properly detect your scanner and start up as usual.
